The Cricut Expression® is a much larger unit than the Cricut Create® or the Cricut Personal Electronic Cutter®, meant to stay on a work table or in a media room. The good thing is that all Cricut® models use the same cartridges and the same blade housings and blades.
The Cricut Expression® is a way to cut letters, shapes, and phrases in impressive sizes using the 12" x 24" mat or the 12" x 12" mat. The possibilities are endless with this larger machine, allowing you to create bigger die cuts for classroom decor, scrapbook layouts, signage, and so much more.

Cricut Expression cutting system is an exciting addition to the Cricut family of products. The new Cricut Expression is a much larger unit, meant to stay on the table or in a media room. The Cricut Expression Cutting System uses cartridges that are universal to all our machines. Multi Cut function - easily cut a wide range of materials including vellum, cardstock, poster board and vinyl; cut the cut lines of your shapes 2, 3 or 4 times on top of the original cut lines. Center point function - cuts your shapes centered on a designated point; use on photographs or patterned paper in the landscape mode. Fit to length and fit to page functions - easily set the size of the length of a designated cut; maximizes the size of the shapes on each page.

Purchase of a Cricut Expression Personal Cutting Machine, made by ProvoCraft. Basically, it is a computer that makes die-cuts. May not sound like much, but think about it: with a traditional die-cut machine, you have to manually put together the correct "sandwich" of materials, and manually crank it through the machine. You cut whatever is in that particular die, which is usually more pieces than you are actually interested in using. And, you cut that one size. One at a time. I really do hate to sound like an advertisement, but the Cricut helps you get around all of these limitations.

You select your image, load your paper, and press a button. It will cut one image, and stop, or you can set it to cut multiples of the same image without reloading.
